Because in our opinion they are by far the most beautiful, smartest, friendliest and most productive urban chicken available today.
- They are a GORGEOUS breed.
- They are large chickens and unable to fly. So they can’t fly into your neighbors yard or into an adjoining dog pen. This makes for a VERY nice “urban chicken” choice.
- They have such WONDERFUL personalities. Each one is individual and each has their own personality. I just LOVE going out, sitting down and hand feeding them their treat (hen scratch).
- They are PRODUCTIVE. They lay the most beautiful light brown, large egg. There have been plenty of times I’ve been at a loss for a meal……yet they came through!!!
- They are entertainment! We sit, drink our coffee and watch them peck and scratch around the back yard. I can’t tell you how VERY much we enjoy their antics!!! Chasing after a cricket, fighting after a night crawler, or coming to the window we are sitting behind and pecking to get our attention.
